Foreign Service Officers (FSOs) are US diplomats serving at embassies worldwide. 5 career tracks: Consular, Economic, Management, Political, Public Diplomacy. 2-3 year postings in rotating overseas assignments.

What You'll Do

Serve 2-3 year tours at US embassies worldwide

Preferred Majors: Any (International Relations, History, Languages, Economics preferred)

Compensation Breakdown

Base Salary

USD 60k-100k

Year 1 Total

FS-6/5 entry. Plus housing allowance abroad (COLA), education allowance for children, hazard pay in certain posts.
