Role Description The Senior PHP Developer (Laravel) will design, develop, and maintain high-quality web applications and APIs, with a focus on back-end services built in PHP and Laravel. Day-to-day tasks include translating business requirements into technical solutions, writing clean and scalable code, integrating front-end components, and optimizing application performance and security. The role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams, participating in code reviews, mentoring junior developers, and contributing to architectural decisions and technical documentation. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Abuja, requiring close collaboration with team members and stakeholders to deliver reliable, enterprise-grade solutions. Qualifications - Strong Back-End Web Development skills, including building and maintaining APIs, services, and database-driven applications. - Proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns, especially within PHP and Laravel frameworks. - Capability in Front-End Development to integrate server-side logic with user interfaces, working with modern HTML, CSS, and JavaScript frameworks as needed. - Solid Software Development and Programming skills, including version control (e.g., Git), testing, debugging, and adherence to coding standards. - Extensive experience with Laravel or similar PHP frameworks, RESTful services, and relational databases such as MySQL or PostgreSQL. - Experience with deployment pipelines, cloud or virtualized environments, and performance optimization for web applications. - Ability to analyze requirements, propose technical solutions, and collaborate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience; prior experience in a senior or lead developer role is highly beneficial.
