Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Frontend Developer role based in Lagos State, Nigeria. The Frontend Developer will build and maintain modern web interfaces using Next.js, focusing on high-performance, responsive Progressive Web Apps (PWAs) and AI-powered platforms. Day-to-day responsibilities include translating UI/UX designs into clean, scalable code, optimizing frontend performance, and ensuring cross-browser and cross-device compatibility. The role involves collaborating closely with product managers, designers, and backend engineers to integrate APIs, refine user journeys, and deliver robust, user-centered experiences. The developer will also participate in code reviews, contribute to frontend architecture decisions, implement best practices in security and accessibility, and help continuously improve the development workflow and documentation. Qualifications - Strong Front-End Development skills, including Next.js, React, modern JavaScript/TypeScript, and component-based architectures. - Experience with Responsive Web Design and building performant PWAs, ensuring mobile-first layouts and cross-device consistency. - Solid Web Development and Software Development fundamentals, including version control (Git), testing, and debugging practices. - Familiarity with Back-End Web Development concepts, RESTful/GraphQL APIs, and integration with AI-powered or data-driven platforms. - Understanding of modern frontend tooling and workflows (e.g., Webpack/Vite, ESLint, CI/CD pipelines). - Knowledge of accessibility standards, security best practices, and performance optimization for production web applications. - Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience. - Ability to work collaboratively in a hybrid, cross-functional environment, with clear communication and problem-solving skills. - Experience in African or emerging markets, or interest in building solutions tailored to diverse user contexts, is an advantage.
