Working in a cross-functional team, you will contribute to architecture decisions, mentor team members, and help shape the technical direction of our products that serve millions of users globally.</p> <h1><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h1> <ul> <li>Design, develop, and maintain robust Java applications and microservices powering IDnow’s identity verification platform.</li> <li>Contribute to architectural decisions and system design for scalable, secure, and maintainable solutions.</li> <li>Write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and engineering standards.</li> <li>Collaborate closely with product managers, UX designers, DevOps, and QA engineers in a cross-functional setup.</li> <li>Identify performance bottlenecks, debug complex issues, and optimize applications for high-volume transactions.</li> <li>Stay updated with the latest technologies and contribute to technical innovation and continuous improvement.</li> <li>Guide and mentor junior developers, conduct code reviews, and share knowledge within the team.</li> </ul> <h1><strong>Preferred Experience</strong></h1> <ul> <li>5+ years of professional software development experience with a strong focus on Java.</li> <li>Expertise in Java EE and Spring / Spring Boot (or Play Framework).</li> <li>Solid understanding of JVM performance tuning and optimization.</li> <li>Proficiency with relational databases (MySQL, PostgreSQL).</li> <li>Strong experience in RESTful API design and development.</li> <li>Experience with unit testing frameworks (JUnit, Mockito) and test-driven development (TDD).</li> <li>Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, Maven, and Docker.</li> <li>Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.</li> <li>Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a collaborative, proactive mindset.</li> </ul> <p><strong>Bonus skills:</strong></p> <ul> <li>Familiarity with Kubernetes, AWS, or microservices architectures.</li> <li>Experience in security-conscious or compliance-heavy environments (e.g., FinTech, Identity, KYC).</li> <li>Knowledge of message brokers (Kafka, RabbitMQ) or event-driven systems.</li> </ul> <h1><strong>Perks &amp; Benefits</strong></h1> <ul> <li><strong>Health &amp; Wellbeing:</strong> Use your full access to the men
